PSALM 142

1–2 minutes

With voice aloud to God I cry for aid,
My trouble’s plea before His mercy laid.
When spirit faints, my path by Thee is known,
Where snares are hid, my steps by foes waylaid.
No refuge left, no soul my cause to care,
I cry, “Thou art my portion, hear my plea.”
From persecutors save, their strength beware,
My soul from prison free, Thy name to see.
The righteous shall surround me, for Thy grace,
Shall deal with me, my heart in Thee to place.
