From depths I cry to Thee, O Lord, give ear,
My voice attend, my supplications heed.
If Thou shouldst mark our sins, who could appear?
But Thou forgiv’st, that we may fear indeed.
I wait for God, my soul in hope relies,
His word my trust, more than the watch for morn.
O Israel, hope in Him, His mercy’s ties,
With Him redemption, all our sins are borne.
