Magnificent Magnolia

1–2 minutes

I hobbled dutifully down my daily walking path on a still, sunlit early evening. It was nearly June, and the greenery was exploding. Suddenly, among the green, I spotted a single blooming bud of a pink flower nearly hidden in the leaves of the familiar tree.

This serene scene reminds me of the uplifting promise found in Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV): “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Like that magnolia flower, we can bloom in obscurity, allowing our struggles to shape us into who we are meant to be, in His time.

So, let’s embrace our journey, savoring the mundane and the magical with hopes that make life palatable. As we wander through our garden of possibilities, let’s pause to appreciate the beauty around us. Who knows what masterpieces we might be part of when we allow the Son of inspiration to shine through us?

Keep observing and serving, and allow your spirit to bloom like the magnificent magnolia into a blossom of His blessing!

Lord, we come to You confidently, based on our knowledge and experience with You, and ask You to help us be better Observers and Servers. AMEN
