To Thee, O Lord, enthroned in heavens high,
I lift mine eyes, as servants seek their lord.
As maids their mistress watch, so we rely
On God’s great mercy, till His grace is poured.
Have mercy, Lord, for scorn has filled our days,
The proud’s contempt, their mockery we bear.
Our soul is sated with their cruel displays,
O save us, God, Thy pity now declare.
