Praise ye the LORD! With heart entire I’ll praise
His name among the upright’s solemn throng,
In congregation’s midst, my voice I’ll raise
To laud His works in everlasting song.
The LORD’s great works are sought by those who find
Delight therein, with eager, searching soul;
His deeds are honourable, glorious, and kind,
His righteousness endures from pole to pole.
He makes remembrance of His wonders known,
The LORD is gracious, full of tender care;
To those who fear Him, food He hath bestown,
His covenant He mindeth everywhere.
The power of His works He hath revealed
Unto His people, giving them the lands
Of heathen nations, as inheritance sealed
By verity and justice from His hands.
All His commandments stand secure and true,
Performed in faithfulness, upright and right;
They are established ever, through and through,
Unshaken in His everlasting light.
Redemption He hath sent unto His own,
His covenant ordained for endless days;
All holy, reverend is His name alone,
Invoke with awe, for awesome are His ways.
The fear of GOD: where wisdom does begin.
Good understanding crowns those who obey;
His praise endures forever, and with no end,
Eternal laud that shall not pass away.
